How the Roll Up Butler idea came about:

This amusing sketch by the founder had a frustrating origin: As a small exhibitor at a management trade fair in Leipzig in February 2013, we were present with a roll-up banner and a few DL-sized flyers. We had to rent a table and chair for about €40 a day to display our promotional materials. Over three days at the fair, that added up to €120.

We weren't the only ones. Many other small exhibitors shared this problem: They only wanted to present their roll-up banner and advertising materials, but then they had a table in front of their banner, which also blocked the view of the lower part of the banner. Not an attractive presentation.

Three days gives you plenty of time to think and develop ideas. We knew that there were already display stands for advertising banners. However, they were expensive and impractical for one person to move. So we wondered why there weren't any holders that could simply be clamped directly onto the vertical support pole of the roll-up banner. The idea sounded so trivial and obvious that it seemed absurd to be the first to come up with it.

The idea wouldn't let us go.

The topic resurfaced by chance during an office conversation in 2018. This time, after extensive online research, we didn't let up and engaged a patent attorney in Erlangen for professional review and support of our project. Our own engineering mindset proved helpful in developing the first prototypes.

The product is created

Three years later, we had developed the product to the point of mass production, filed a comprehensive patent, and brought together manufacturers, suppliers, logistics partners, and many other partners. The Roll Up Butler was able to launch with a standard set in August 2022.

In September 2022, during a hiking holiday in Austria, we noticed how many drop flags lined the roads. The flags fluttered sadly in front of almost every hotel and sports shop, back when Flag Butler was still unavailable.
Since our product is multifunctional and works with all flag systems and various advertising displays, we further developed the Flag Butler system.

System Butler was then chosen as the umbrella brand.

For many years, we wished for a simple way to attach promotional materials to our roll-up banners at trade fairs. Following the motto "do it and have fun," we developed the Roll Up Butler and Flag Butler. We hope you enjoy our products as well.

The vision

Even before we filed a patent application for the final, technical mounting system, there were numerous ideas for how to expand our mount with countless gadgets and add-ons.
We are delighted that the foundation for building a creative lab has been laid.
